Phone Consultation

Prior to setting up your first appointment, we offer a free phone consultation to address any questions you may have about testing and to ensure our approach will help you meet your treatment goals. We will also discuss what to expect during your appointments, insurance, and identify times and dates that work best with your busy schedule.

 Intake Appointment

During your initial appointment, I will ask questions regarding developmental, occupational, social, and psychological history to help better understand your needs and ensure the testing process addresses all areas of concern. You can expect the appointment to last 45-60 minutes.

Treatment Process

After your intake appointment, you will visit our office in Skokie for a thorough evaluation. This can be held over one or two days, typically lasting 4-6 hours in total length. Children and teens generally complete testing over a two day period.

You can expect to complete a variety of pencil and paper, computer, and interactive tests that allow us to gain a clear understanding of your strengths and needs so we can provide you with a comprehensive report with very thorough recommendations.

Feedback Appointment

We will meet 3-4 weeks after your evaluation appointment to review results from testing. This appointment is usually one hour and we will have an in-depth discussion about the findings in each domain, how those influence functioning in daily life, and strategies to access strengths and minimize the impact of obstacles. We will also discuss coordinating your care with your physician, therapist, psychiatrist, school, or other individual involved in your care during that appointment.
